Fine Late 19th Century Games and Sewing Table in Burr Walnut
Wonderful quality late Victorian burr walnut games and sewing table
The top swivels and folds open to reveal backgammon and a chess board.
Under the burr walnut top there is a fitted lined drawer for cards and sewing tools, and then under this is a sliding box for storing needlework etc.
The beautiful top with indent corners, and delicate box inlaid patterns to the corners.
It stands on carved cabriole legs that come off the well-turned end supports that are joined by a turned solid walnut stretcher.
These tables are superb, as they are not only lovely and interesting items of high-quality Victorian walnut, but also double as games/sewing tables.
