£0.00

Exceptional and impressive 19th Century copper with a wonderful provenance of originating from The Antony Estate, Cornwall.

Antony House has been home to the Carew family for 600 years and is now a National Trust property close to Torpoint, Cornwall.

This copper was most likely used for the washing of bedding from the Antony House itself and is in remarkable order.

The best we have ever owned and very rare to have one with its spout and tap!

Water tight and with a wonderful vert de gris coloration this truly is a thing of beauty.

The copper is sat on a pair of wooden stands the are stamped by the maker and dated 1909, they are a later marriage to the copper and work well at elevating this stunning piece.

Dimensions: 40” wide (110cm) x 27.5” high (70cm) add a further 14” (36cm) with stands the spout and tap extend 14” (36cm) from the body. We have included some images with an apple for scale!
